Regional law firm has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Real Estate Capital Markets tax attorney with 7-10+ years of experience. The attorney may, at the applicant’s election, be based in any of the firm’s offices although presence in the Atlanta office is preferable. The candidate must have experience and expertise in REIT and partnership taxation and have significant knowledge in other issues affecting structuring of real estate investments (e.g., FIRPTA, 1031, 163(j), and ERISA). The candidate must also have basic expertise in tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions as applicable to REITs, funds and real estate investments generally. The candidate must be able to assume first chair responsibility as to tax matters and work as an integral member of the firm’s Real Estate Capital Markets and Funds and Alternative Investments practices. Superior academic credentials and professional experience are essential.
